Travel Advice & Immunisations

Please make an appointment for vaccinations at least eight weeks in advance of your holiday to ensure adequate cover. A charge will be made for certain immunisations, vaccinations or other preventative treatment not covered by the NHS. A list of charges is available in reception.

Anti-malarial tablets are not available on NHS prescription and your pharmacist will be able to advise you on the cost of a private prescription.

Ensure that you have had all of the recommended vaccinations and take tablets to protect against malaria if required.

There are areas which are unsafe for travellers to visit because of the risk of violence. For guidance and information, please use the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office advice to travellers website.  

Make sure you have adequate travel insurance, and if you are visiting a country in the European Economic Area a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).
